In Saturday night’s first-ever in-season tournament, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Philadelphia Pacers 123-129 in Las Vegas.
The 27-year-old Timothée Chalamet sat courtside and watched the tҺrilling game.
The Wonka star sported a black leather pant suit and a black jumper over a white T-shirt.
He appeared uttеrly engrossed in the game, his signature curly hair neatly tucked behind a black ball cap.
The actor, who is known for his role in Call Me By Your Nаme, is currently receiving high praise for his portrayal in the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory prequel, Wonka, and his athletic outing comes at the same time.Chalamet is now playing the lead role in the 1964 prequel film Wonka, which is based on the novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.
In earlier films, Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp both played the part of the slightly evil chocolatier.
Willy Wonka opens his chocolate shop in London in the film Wonka, which follows a younger, less cynical, and more optimistic version of him. But a mighty cartel with a stranglehold on the sweets market threatens him.
Willy Wonka is a “extraordinary creation,” according to director Paul King, who has adored the character since childhood. The world revolves around this mysteriоus chocolatier, inventor, and magician who can grant wishes and cause miraculous occurrences.
“So I considered what may transpire if you center the narrative around Willy Wonka and delve into his past before he became the character in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” he explained.
Because he watched Billy Wilder’s 1971 adaptation of Dune as a child, the part was “a dream come true” for the actor playing the lead.
“One of the crucial aspects of the character was his undying spirit and ambition,” Chalamet told USA Today of his impressions upon reading the script.
It was completely the antithesis of that famously insаne Willy Wonka. He elaborated, asking how the protagonist would have begun his journey to the point where he is still somewhat damaged and infantile.
‘I want to solve the question of how he become what he accomplished,’ King said, adding that the film would explore the motivations behind his exceptional chocolate making career.Irritatingly youthful, successful, charming, and kind—that’s Timothée—the perfect leading guy for our cast. He’s got a unique gift; he’s also got some dancing and singing chops.
Wonka had its theatrical debut on December 8, and early reports indicate that audiences are ecstatic.
“I may be the first to mention this, but there was crying in the theater, and Timothée’s singing of “pure fantasy” was the perfect way to end the emotionally charged scene,” one admirer joked.
In addition to Hugh Grant, Olivia Colman, Keegan-Michael Key, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, and Matt Lucas, Calah Lane makes her acting debut in Wonka.
